An excellent showcase of FRCLN's sound style 'Leaving Home 1942' is the sonic equivalent of walking along the edge of a precipice you know you must cross - to hesitate is to die.
The entire album conjures the cloudy, frigid bass-scapes that made DREAMS and JISATSU so penetrating, but also deliveres a nuanced variety of sound which speaks of a constantly evolving approach by the artist.
We all raise tombstones for our past selves. 1942 looks ahead and places it's marker with confidence.
